The original challenge we were given was a stylized or low-poly rocket. To give this project more depth i wanted to add a contrasting scene that should let the viewer question the backstory of this image.
The galaxy in the jar is a blender shader using different noise volumes, light sources and point clouds. The background and foreground assets are a mix of 3D modelling and sculpting.

The Final image was rendered in 8K to be able to crop the image and capture different details still in higher quality.


My interpretation of this piece is that a wizard accidentaly captured a tiny rocket while trapping part of a galaxy in a jar.

Additional low-poly rocket render
